AI tools have been so popular lately that almost everyone, including children, uses them. However, most of them (at least as far as I have observed) use it for fun purposes, just to cure their boredom, and they do not really use it effectively to educate themselves. Therefore, as ELT pre - service teachers, we were assigned to teach students how to use / integrate an AI tool to their learning process. Since it is highly popular and really easy to access, we have chosen ChatGPT for this assignment.

We stayed the same as a group, so I worked together with Sümeyya ATAŞ, Rabia Serra BOZKURT, and Fatma Reyhan TUĞ. It was our finals week, so we all were so busy; however, we still managed to do our assignment in the best way we could. think we are so lucky as a group because everyone works hard equally. It is never like this meme 😭

As I've mentioned above, we integrated ChatGPT into the teaching process. We want students to ask ChatGPT to create a map including certain places and create five questions about giving directions based on the map. 

So, unlike usual, students are allowed to use ChatGPT this time. They can even exchange their ChatGPT-created questions with their partner and answer them on their own. I think it is a pretty fun and simple task for the students. Because they are already familiar with AI use. Do not forget to check our digital worksheet and lesson plan. 💫
