Hi Jellyfish 🪼
How are you, once again? 😅 I hope you are all doing fine. ✨ It is the final post of this term, and I will be talking about the course called Current Issues in Teaching in general.

I want to start with the strengths of the course; the most effective part for me was the feedback session, because the assignments were relatively more challenging than the last ear, so we were not really satisfied with our first attempt. The feedback session improved us as a group throughout the term.
Besides the feedback session, group work is also one of the strengths of the course. The assignments are hard to do individually or in pairs. Therefore, it is such a good idea to give the assignments in groups of three or four.

On the other hand, the biggest and maybe the only weakness of the course is the midterm exam. It does not really cover the topics we have covered. Moreover, it was so hard to understand the questions in the exam. They were so ambiguous; for example, for filling in the blanks, should I write just one word or a long, detailed sentence?
The difficult part was the tasks, as the last year, however, as I said, they were a bit more challenging, which is highly expected. The easiest and the fun part was preparing the lesson plan and giving feedback to other groups. It was so interesting to see other people's perceptions of the assignment to get new ideas.

In contrast, my least favourite one is the AR-integrated teaching one that we introduced in Paris. It was literally so boring. It could focus on one landmark rather than focusing on a city as a whole. For example, students can visit a museum with AR and activities based on it.

Also, for the students who are willing to take this course but are being hesitant, just do not hesitate. Yes, there are a lot of assignments throughout the term, but it is so enjoyable to do them. You really learn something when you complete the task.
Finally, it is really like an investment for my future. We are living in an AI world, and it is so nice to see myself that now I can integrate AI tools into the teaching process to make the learning fun and easy for the new generation.
Thank you to my instructor, Dr. Gökçe, for everything. 💫
Thank you, Jellyfish, for supporting me and reading my blogs every time. 🪼✨
I hope you always stay happy no matter what. See you in another life, Jellyfish 🩵
